With our all-digital workflow, adding the
word "digital" to any part of the process doesn't seem like
big news. But our new Kodak XP4 proofing and Computer-to-Plate
technologies are lightyears ahead of WaterProofs, Matchprints,
Cromalins, Iris proofs, Rainbows, color keys, and conventional
film based plates(or whatever you were using last century!).
Why? Because these proofs can show you the
actual halftones used in producing and registering the four
process colors--without going to film. They can also represent
all of the Pantone System colors, and the proofs are backed
up, in position.
That means more accurate color proofs, which
in turn means fewer surprises on press. Plus, last-minute copy
changes are less expensive than with other contract-quality
proofs, because you haven't made the financial commitment to
film that has historically been required.
Able to proof multi-page forms, the XP4 system
has already been tested and proven by our most demanding catalog
and publication customers.
In a computer-based world, where clients increasingly
want to proof their CMYK files on RGB monitors, these new state-of-the-art
proofs are a valuable reality check. Faster, better and cheaper
is always a customer benefit, but these XP4 proofs can also
save you the ultimate aggravation: doing a job over because
someone didn't understand what they were looking at when they
signed off on the proof!
